Cookie Policy
What gets saved on your device when you visit this site, and what is requested from external services.
Note on language: this is an English translation provided for convenience. The Italian version is the authoritative one.
The short version
This site uses no cookies. There are no profiling cookies, no advertising, no analytics tools, and no social buttons tracking your browsing. Only two technical preferences are saved in your browser's local storage, and the gallery photographs are loaded from an external service only after you consent.
What is saved on your device
The site uses the browser's local storage — a memory similar to cookies, but never transmitted to the server — to remember just two choices:
- lc-theme — whether you prefer the light or dark theme, so you don't have to pick it again on every visit.
- lc-consent — the choice you made about loading the photographs, so the banner isn't shown to you again and again.
Both stay on your device, identify nobody and are never shared. As they are technical tools needed to deliver a service you asked for, they do not require prior consent. You can delete them at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser settings.
External services
Behold — gallery photographs
The images in the gallery and in the background of the opening page come from Lucio Ciccarone's Instagram profile via the service Behold (behold.pictures, feeds.behold.so). Loading them means your browser contacts Behold's servers directly, passing on your IP address and the usual technical connection details.
For this reason no request is sent to Behold until you give consent. If you choose "Essential only", a panel appears in place of the gallery with a button that lets you enable the images later, should you change your mind. The site remains fully usable either way.
Behold does not install cookies on your device: the issue here is the transmission of your IP address, not the storage of data in your browser.
What is NOT loaded from third parties
The typefaces and the library handling the smooth page scrolling are hosted directly on this domain, rather than being pulled from their respective external services. This is a deliberate choice: it avoids your browser having to contact other servers just to show you the text.
How to withdraw consent
To withdraw consent for loading the images, simply clear this site's data in your browser settings: on your next visit the banner will reappear and you can choose differently.
