Born in 1983, I grew up in Santeramo in Colle. Photography entered my life before it ever became a profession: it's a family inheritance, my father's — a photographer for forty years — who passed on to me the value of film, of black and white, of the darkroom, and, above all, the idea that a photograph isn't simply an image, but something you entrust a memory to.

That awareness still shapes the way I photograph today. After art studies and years gained in photography and film — including spells with various companies abroad — I chose to dedicate my path to wedding reportage.

Over time I've built a language of my own, one where creative photography, spontaneity and observation sit alongside a particular attention to light, to detail, to people. For over twenty years I've been documenting weddings across Italy and Europe, trying to capture not just what happens, but the atmosphere of what is actually being lived.

The studio that carries my name was born from the wish to bring together, around this vision, a team of professionals who share the same sensibility, experience and care for the work. Every photograph and every film is followed with the same attention, from the shoot through to post-production.

My portfolio gathers portraits, fine-art photographs, traditions and details: fragments of different stories, united by the same intent — to tell each wedding in its own unrepeatable authenticity.

It's from portraiture, and black-and-white portraiture in particular, that an important part of my path has taken shape. Between 2020 and 2021 I received 13 Best Wedding Photography Wedisson Awards.

I think of awards mainly as occasions for comparison. In an international landscape where wedding photography has reached ever higher standards, measuring yourself against it means continuing to question your own language, refining your identity, and searching for an increasingly personal voice.

I don't believe in a photography that needs to construct reality. I'd rather observe it.

A glance, a laugh, an unexpected gesture, the tension before an entrance, a hand searching for another hand. These are often the details that say more than a staged photograph ever could.

My work is born from a balance between discretion and presence: being there without imposing; recognising a moment before it happens; having the sensitivity to understand its worth. The photography stays spontaneous this way — but never accidental.

Every wedding has its own geography, its own light, its own personality. That's why I don't work to a set formula: I follow the day as it naturally unfolds, from getting ready through to the ceremony, from the people around the couple to the party, right up to the last moments of the day.

I tell the places, the traditions, the affections, and everything that happens between one official moment and the next. Even the couple sessions are conceived around the two people and the setting, favouring authentic scenes and, when the context allows it, the landscapes of Puglia that are part of my own story.

The result is a contemporary reportage, personal and authentic, able to preserve the memory of a day without turning it into something it never was.

An album isn't simply a collection of photographs. It's the way a story is kept.

That's why I choose materials, papers, formats and finishes capable of honouring the photograph, giving it back, over time, the same importance it had when it was first exposed on film. Print quality, artisanal care and Made in Italy design all become part of a single story.

To me the album is as much a responsibility as the shot itself: keeping safe the authenticity of a moment, the light, a shade, a face, an emotion.

Because a photograph, when it truly matters, doesn't belong only to the present. It belongs to memory.
